  7. Racal-Datacom's ES3210 is a dual-media, 32-bit PC Ethernet adaptor card with 16
  8. KB of dual-ported RAM. It is designed for systems conforming to the Extended
  9. Industry Standard Architecture (EISA) specification. ES3210 supports
  10. connections to thick and Thin Ethernet. The Thick Ethernet connector can also
  11. be used to connect to other types of media, using an IEEE 802.3 transceiver

  13. Performance-sensitive environments ╤ ES3210 is ideal for medium-to-large LAN
  14. configurations consisting of multiple processor file servers, multi-user
  15. UNIX-based systems, and single-user workstations running 80386/486-based
  16. applications

  18. Burst-mode DMA ╤ ES3210 utilizes type-C burst-mode DMA, which reduces board
  19. complexity and unnecessary duplication of functions already present on the
  20. system board. Burst-mode DMA minimizes the ES3210's maximum bus latency by 36
  21. percent over a bus-master card. In addition, ES3210 supports "compressed-mode"
  22. input/output, which improves bus utilization by improving data transfer time.
